Grandma Corky

My grand mother is slowly fading
And all she is doing is simply waiting
She toss and turns in her sleep
In her mind things slowly creep
Memories of the present and past
Come furiously in a violent crash
The past, present and the future collide into one
She is suspended in time slowly awaiting her life to soon be done
In great agony she cries out in pain
Helplessly all I can do is hold her hand and curse in vain
Frustration overwhelms me and I pray to the maker
Please be swift and be done just take her
I say my last good byes
And I see that the soul is no longer with in her eyes
And at last the last sing of life fades out
